One down, so many to go...

Just finished one final. I have one more final to go, plus a paper. I feel so close and yet so far.

I am having almost daily emotional breakdowns which are just fun for the whole family.

We had a scheduled meeting to interview our preferred and highly recommended doula. She never showed and when called professed to forgetting. We rescheduled for today, despite my husband's legitimate doubts about her at this point. I am unwilling to give up on her, but am unsure why. Lunacy does that.

school will be over before you know it and then you can concentrate on the important stuff

Yay for exams going by, and well, I'm not sure if she sounds like such a great doula myself? I mean, what if she forgets on a really important occasion?

Anyway, I'm hoping things are going well in all other aspects.

I hate to agree with your husband, but the doula missing an appointment is not a good thing.

Can't believe that the big day is approaching so soon.

Hey there! Great to hear from you! I hope the rest of the week goes painlessly quick for you and that your doula doesn't flake out again. Especially when it's go time!

Follow your gut on the doula. My lactation consultant is wonderful but seems to call before each meeting to move it by an hour or a day or something. It's forgivable because she's so great. Happy to hear from you. I was just thinking I would email to say I was thinking of you and hoping your pregnancy and everything was going well. OH and I think emotional breakdowns are part of the gig for everyone...

hi there, i forgot your exact due date. so exciting. try to focus on the growing belly when stressed out by daily stress. easier said than done. how are you doing off all meds.
i had i think three particularly challenging episodes while pregnant which i narrowly avoided taking meds for. i hope you're feeling relatively stable. you sound so busy, wow, good for you. and the doula search sounds like you are going for a very "natural" experience of childbirth although there isnt anything that natural about it in some terms of the word! i very much admire you as i took the coward's way out and planned a c section. however and through whatever way the baby gets out of your body, the important thing is once she's out. then come the challenges and delights of breastfeeding. are you planning to try breastfeeding and staying off meds? either way you will get lots of support from us bloggers. it's all very challenging but rewarding too.
by the way, try to do something nice for yourself on mother's day! you're mothering already by attending to the growing baby in your body! oh i see youre at 35 weeks! wow, you are full of energy. i hope you're getting massages and long relaxing baths...

congrats on the exam! maybe one day you'll look back on all this and laugh (or drink heavily, one of the two).
