Shall we say this is number 2?

I took 3 more home pregnancy tests over the weekend and they all came up vaguely positive. Then on Sunday, it all went into the crapper.

Well, that sure was fun.

So shall we say that I am in the middle of miscarriage number two? I hate the "chemical pregnancy" label. Not sure why.

Mmmm, gin.

Are you still going in for the bloodwork?

I hate the term chemical pregnancy, too. It sucks that I've had 2 "spontaneous abortions" (another shitty term) and 2 chemical pregnancies...according to my records.

Ah Shit! ((Nicole)) I'm so sorry.

Oh, sweet pea. That's just awful. I, too, HATE the words "chemical pregnancy." Why is that? It feels dismissive or something. I am so sorry.

Maybe you could get them to do a miscarraige panel, not because i think anything would show up...but b/c if there was something to know (like a blood clotting issue) it
d be nice to know.

i hate this for you.

xoxo

Oh shit. This is so horrible, I'm so so sorry.

These are the moments when I just want to fly down there and hug you and hang out. You know?

I'm wondering about what Christina said, specifically, did any results come back from miscarriage #1? I know you were pretty sure what happened, but just in case?

Only because well heck, who wants to keep going through something a little baby aspirin or progesterone could help.

Drink some gin for me, okay?

Damn, Nicole. I'm so sorry.

Yeah, chemical pregnancy ranks right up there with spontaneous abortion and habitual aborter. Isn't the medical profession special? In a short-bus kinda way, though.

oh shit, i'm so sorry. i know what you mean about the chemical label. it's very dismissive, almost like nothing happened.

I'm so sorry hunny. I was hoping this was it for you. I agree with everyone who said you should get this checked out to try to see why. I know a friend who's uterus just wouldn't allow the folicals to attach so they gave her some drugs for that. There are so many things that could be going on here. It would help to eliminate a bunch.

Well, crap. So much for hoping. I've been in your place so many times, Dh refuses to believe any test until it is the blood test. I'll drink a gin and tonic for you tonight.

I hate the chemical pregnancy label too. It makes the pregnancy seem less real, and it makes it easier for doctors to label it while nothing about it is easy at all.

I was pulling for you and hoping this was the one . . .and I am so sorry it wasn't.

Chemical pregnancy is a stupid term. I'm sorry you are going through this. I found my 'chem' hard because I felt like I should just get on with lif and not make a fuss. My doctor even told me not to test so early in future.

It is a loss, Nicole. It takes time to get over too. Take care x

I also hate the term chemical pregnancy--it makes it sound like it just wasn't damn important enough to make it full on to pregnancy. Anyway, I'm so sorry.
